Our ultimate goal is to create an environment and workplace which is incident and injury free across all the services that we offer. To achieve this, we continuously identify and implement solutions that reduce risk. We fully maintain a number of Health and Safety Standards; most notably the IOSQAR accredited OHSAS18001 Management System and Achilles certification covering both personal safety and process safety.
The business retains an external Health and Safety Consultant providing B38 Group with the advice required and to act as our “Competent Person” as required under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999.
Mitigating our impact on the environment goes hand in hand with creating business value and long-term sustainability. We do this in a number of ways, including working to ensure we use energy as efficiently as possible, and minimising our impact upon biodiversity.
Through our ISOQAR accredited ISO14001 Management Systems we have developed an environmental impact reduction procedure which sets out the key principles we follow in our approach to climate change.
Our goal is to reduce our emissions year on year by 5% per head by reducing the levels of travelling distance required. The reductions are being made predominantly through increased levels of nationwide operative and engineering working presence and working to tighter geographies set by the head office operational and deployment teams.
There is an increasing national demand for talented individuals in the engineering, construction and facilities services. B38 Group are committed to working with training and educational facilities to encourage apprentices into work and to join the business at an early stage of their development. B38 Group offer a number of roles for apprentices, interested parties should apply to join one of our broad range of employment development programmes.
